Polyethylene film

Amiba has more than 30 years of experience in the production of plastic packaging and composite film packaging, hence we are able to provide good and consistent quality PE film.

PE film (also called chit film or pallet wrap) is a thin plastic film with high elasticity and adhesion but does not require glue. PE film is from 1 to 3 layers and it has sizes of 10cm to 270cm and it is widely used in many fields.

OPTION FEATURES

ANTI-FOG

The formation of fog on package is the result of the condensation of water vapor on the surface of transparent film. Fog is commonly caused by the temperature of package’s surface falls below the dew-point temperature of the air and water that is within the package. Food items being stored in plastic package usually has high moisture content, when this package is stored in a cool environment, moisture condenses on the surface causing fog to occur. Amiba anti-fog film has gel free surface on the inner layer of the package. When fog occurs, condensed water droplets are spread into a thin continuous layer of water, improving the transparency of the packaging and durability of the contents. Anti-fog material is commonly used as lidding film or packaging material for refrigerated food items.

Amiba has more than 30 years of experience in the production of plastic packaging and composite film packaging, hence we are able to provide good and consistent quality PE film.

1. What’s a PE film?

PE film (also called chit film or pallet wrap) is a thin plastic film with high elasticity and adhesion but does not require glue. PE film is from 1 to 3 layers and it has sizes of 10cm to 270cm it is widely used in many fields.

2. Benefits

  • At home, PE film is used to wrap food to protect food from dirt, insects,… it helps to preserve food longer, fresher, and cleaner.
  • In industry, PE film is used to wrap goods, components, to cover the pallet, … to protect them from impact, mold, dust … while moving or also packaging products.
  • In agriculture, PE film is often used to cover agricultural products, cover the soil to avoid pests, weeds, or used in greenhouses.
  • In fisheries, PE film is used to preserve frozen seafood.
  • In the furniture industry, PE film is used to wrap the furniture after manufacturing to avoid dirt and scratches while shipping products.

3. Classification

PE plastic is the most important of all plastic materials.

According to the properties, PE plastic films are classified into the following main groups:

High density HDPE, density = 0.941 – 0.965g / cm3. HDPE waterproof membrane is popularly used in domestic landfills, industrial landfills, and wastewater treatment systems to ensure to limit environmental pollution. This is also considered an eco-friendly product.

Low density LDPE, density = 0.91 – 0.925g / cm3. LDPE plastic film: The most important and most common, is used to cut PE plastic bags for goods.

MDPE average density, density = 0.926 – 0.940g / cm3. MDPE nylon films are used to thin films or required to produce films with higher hardness or higher softening temperature than LDPE.

Categorized by finished products, there are 2 types of PE films:

Hand Wrap

  • Width: 10cm ~ 100cm.
  • Weight: 2 kg ~ 6kg.
  • Thickness: 11mics ~ 23mics
  • Elongation: 200% – 400%.

It is typically less thick than the winding film and also lighter for easier manual handling when wrapping. Its specifications are also more diverse than machine-wound products.

Winding Machine

  • Width: 50cm ~ 100cm.
  • Weight: 10 kg ~ 16kg.
  • Thickness: 15mics ~ 23mic
  • Elongation: 200% – 400%

Depending on your requirements, we can supply products with different specifications, thicknesses, and adhesives. Popular sizes are the following:

  • Coil weight includes film weight and core weight (according to customer requirements)
  • PE film core size is not 52 or 76
  • Plastic-core PE film or paper-core PE film can be used
  • The common size is 50cm, customers can buy by the meter
  • In addition, a maximum PE film width: 2m can be produced

4. Raw materials for PE film production

Primary plastic is one of the great inventions applied in life as well as in industry. The primary resin is the result of petroleum distillation. So it has almost absolute purity, no additives, high durability, and environmental safety. Therefore, Amiba has chosen virgin plastic resins to be the raw materials for PE film production.

5. Producing PE film with modern and professional equipment

  • 3-layer PE blowing machine: 3 machines with widths from 1000mm to 2600mm
  • 3-layer PP blowing machine: 3 machines with sizes from 350mm to 1000mm
  • 1 and 2 layer blowers: 6 machines from 250mm to 1600mm
  • Total output 600 tons / month
